We went in search of sunny rock but instead we found squeaky styrofoam. The Tournier Spur on the north face of the Aiguille de Midi provided some loose acclimatisation and a return to summer Alpinism for Nick.
The main event was a three day journey from Italy to France over Mont Blanc via the Grand Pillier D’Angle. The Bouchard into the Boivin-Vallençant led the way with amazing wintery conditions for August.
To quote Nick “…you would do well to get a Lama over here”.
